Union Public Service Commission – UPSC Notification has been issued for filling the 390 vacancies through UPSC National Defence Service and Naval Academy Exam 2017, Out of which 335 vacancies in National Defence Academy (Indian Army – 208, Navy – 55 and Air Force – 72) and 55 posts for Naval Academy (10+2) Cadet Entry Scheme. Eligibility Conditions for UPSC NDA Exam 2017
Age Limit:
Only Male Candidates born between 02-01-1999 and 01-01-2001
Educational Qualification:
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy – Candidates must be a pass in 12th class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or any other equivalent examination from a recognised board of examination
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy – Candidates must be 12th pass under 10+2 pattern of education with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a recognised board of education.
How will be the selection Procedure?
Selection for this UPSC NDA Exam 2017 will be made on the basis of Written Examination, Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence.
Pattern of UPSC NDA Exam 2017
Total Selection procedure will be for 1800 marks, out of which 900 marks will be for thr written exam and 900 marks for SSB Interview
Written exam will be in 2 subjects
a) Mathematics – for 300 Marks and 2 ½ hours duration
b) General Ability Test – For 600 Marks with 2 ½ hours duration
