Pre-matric Scholarship for the year 2016 - 17:
There are a lot of people even today is unaware of pre-matric scholarships 2016-17 that are available from Central Government of India for the minorities. This scheme was announced in the year 2006 under The Prime Minister’s 15 point programme for the welfare of minorities. The main Motto for starting this scheme was to encourage people from minorities to send their children to school by reducing their burden of fees. In The financial year, 2014-15 Government has awarded 1128 crore rupees all over India. This scholarship is awarded to Minority students in private schools as well as in Government schools from class 1 to 10th class.
Minorities who can apply for this scholarship are Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis, notified in section 2 (c) of the national commission of minorities act.
Even though the programme is announced by Central government It is implemented through the state government or Union Territory Administration.
Conditions for availing this Pre-matric scholarship are:
Will be given for only 2 students from a family
Student should be regular to classes
Income certificate of parents issued by state government - Income should not exceed more than 1 lakh
Will be deposited directly to student bank account
The students availing benefits from this scheme will not be allowed to avail benefits of any other scheme for this purpose.
The scholarship will be discontinued if the student fails to score 50% marks in the annual examination
If the student is from outstation and not residing in school hostel , the institute or school has to certify that.
If the students violate school or any terms and conditions of the scholarship the state government or Union territory administration can cancel or suspend the scholarship for the student.
If the student has received a scholarship by any false statements, the amount of scholarship will be recovered by the decision of state government or Union Territory Administration.
The government of India has the power to change the rules and regulations for receiving the scholarship anytime.
These are some of the main conditions for availing this scheme. If the student is allowed scholarship for one year than it can be renewed every year by submitting marks certificate of having more than 50%.

The school in which student are studying will be accepting all the application and send it to the state government. So the students can fill their form and submit to school and they will do the remaining work on behalf of students.
