Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test Karnataka TET 2016-17 notification has been issued by Department of Primary and Secondary Education Karnataka. The Kar TET 2016 application has to be submitted through KARTET online application form only. the offline mode has been completely stopped this year. Karnataka TET 2016-17:
Karnataka TET exam 2016 is conducted by "office of the commissioner for public instruction, Centralized Admission Cell, Kempegowda Road, Central Junior College Campus, Bangalore - 560009". The Karnataka TET exam date is on 12th December 2016. Candidates willing to write this KARTET 2016 have to apply by submitting the KARTET Online application from before 9th November 2016.
About KARTET:
NCTE - National Council for Teacher Education issued a notification dated 23rd August 2010 and 29th July 2011 stating the minimum qualifications for a person to become a teacher for class I to VIII. The essential qualification as mentioned in the Clause(n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act is that a person should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which is conducted bt Appropriate Government according to the guidelines of National Council of Teacher Education. In Karnataka, the responsibility for conducting the KARTET-Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test 2016 is entrusted to the Central Admission Cell (CAC) Bengaluru.

Education Requirements for KARTET 2016-17:
For becoming teacher in class I to V (Paper-I)
PUC or Senior Secondary with 50% marks and, pass or Persuing Final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/pass or pursuing final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/persuing final year of 2 year diploma in education (special Education) OR BA/BSc Graduation and pass or pursuing in final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education.
Education Requirements for KARTET 2016-17:
For becoming teacher in class I to V (Paper-I)
PUC or Senior Secondary with 50% marks and, pass or Persuing Final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/pass or pursuing final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/persuing final year of 2 year diploma in education (special Education) OR BA/BSc Graduation and pass or pursuing in final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education.

B.A/B.Sc Graduation and pass or pursuing the final year of 2-year diploma in Elementary Education OR BA/B.Sc Graduation with 50% marks and pass or pursuing 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR PUC/Senior secondary with 50% marks and Pass or pursuing final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR PUC/Senior secondary with 50% marks and pass or pursuing final year of 4 year B.A/B.Sc Ed/B.A Ed. OR B.A/B.Sc Graduation with 50% marks and pass or pursuing 1 year B.Ed (Special Education).
For becoming Teacher for class I to VIII (Paper I and II)
PUC/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and pass or Pursuing 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR B.A/B.Sc Graduation and Pass or pursuing the final year of 2-year diploma in Elementary Education.
How to apply of Karnataka TET 2016:
First candidate have to register themselves in the KARTET Official website by providing the Basic Detail, A password and ID will be generated in registration, Then Login to the website using ID and Password and enter personal details and download the KARTET Fees payment receipt and pay the fees in any of the State Bank of Mysore Braches. After paying fees, again login to the website and upload photograph and signature in JPEG Format. And After successfully uploading the images download confirmation page.
Other candidates - Rs 500 (one paper), Rs 800/- (two paper)
