No of Vacancies: JE Electrical – 535, JE Civil – 45.
Salary: 9300 – 34800 plus grade pay of 4200/-

Age limit: As on 01-07-2016
18 – 40 Years
Age Relaxation
SC/ST/OBC – 5 Years
Ex-serviceman – Total Years of service + 3 Years (Maximum 15 years)
Dependents of freedom fighters – 5 Years
PHD – maximum 55 Years age
Education qualification:
Junior Engineer Electrical – Diploma in electrical Engineering, Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering awarded by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh OR a Diploma, equivalent thereto, recognized by the State Government. OR Three years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India. OR Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State legislature
Junior Engineer Civil – Diploma in civil Engineering
Note: Diploma Through Distance Education will not be eligible.

UPPCL Selection procedure
Selection will be based on written exam only.
UPPCL Exam Pattern:
Written exam will be conducted for 200 question, Each question carrying one mark each. 150 questions will be in the Level of Engineering Diploma. 20 questions for General Knowledge and General awareness, 20 Questions for Reasoning and 10 for General Hindi.
Note: There will be negative marking for the written exam, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
