Education Qualification:
1. For Automobile Engineer in the Motor Vehicles Maintenance Department – Candidates must have completed Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering (OR) Post Graduation Diploma in Automobile Engineering from a recognised Institute. Apart From the education qualification candidates must have an experience of minimum 5 years in the administration of an office and the management of workshops connected with the maintenance and upkeep of Motor Vehicles
2. For Automobile Engineer in the Police Transport Workshop Cum Training School – Candidates must possess Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Automobile Engineering awarded by the Madras Institute of Technology (OR) Postgraduate Diploma in Automobile Engineering (OR) Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering with Auto Elective as one of the subjects. Candidates must have a valid driving license for light transport vehicles.
How will be the TNPSC Automobile Engineer Selection procedure?
Selection for this Engineering jobs in Tamilnadu will be made on the basis of written examination and Interview / Oral Test.
Pattern of TNPSC Exam
a) Paper 1 – Automobile and Mechanical Engineering for 300 Marks with 3 hours duration
b) Paper 2 – General Studies for 200 Marks with 2 Hours duration
c) Interview and Document Verification – For 70 Marks
