Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried Male candidates for enrolling as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR). Candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Maths, Physics and any one subject from Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science can join Indian Navy as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits. Candidates must have been born between 01-08-1996 and 31-07-2000 to apply for these Jobs in Indian Navy. Candidates selected for this Indian Navy Careers will be placed with the salary of Rs 5200-20200 + Grade pay of Rs 2000, Military Service pay of Rs 2000/-. Selection Procedure
Selection for this Indian Navy Recruitment 2017 will be made on the basis Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.
Written Test – This exam will be objective type conducted in subjects like English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge of 10+2 standard and will be conducted for one hour in Hindi and English languages.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – This test consists of 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups and 10 push ups.
Medical Examination – Candidates need to be minimum 157cms height, Weight and chest should be proportionate with chest expansion of minimum 5 cm.
How to Apply
Candidates willing to join Indian Navy have to apply online through the Indian Navy Website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
After logging to the Website, click on the option “Apply for Sailors Entry” and then fill all the required details in the Indian Navy Online application from and upload all the necessary documents.
After successfully submitting the Indian Navy Online application from, candidates have to take two copies printout of submitted Indian Navy online application form and one copy should be sent to the office along with attested copies of Matriculation certificate, 10+2 marks sheet, domicile certificate, NCC Certificate and one self Addressed envelope of 22*10 cms size with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on envelope.
Note: The Envelope containing the Application form should be superscribed as “Online SSR Application-02/2017 batch and 10+2 percentage______”
