Degree in Textile Technology / Degree in M.com / M.A. with Economics as the main subject / M.Sc., with Mathematics as the main subject.
Selection Procedure
Selection for this TNPSC Recruitment 2017 will be made on the basis of Written examination and Viva Voce Test.
The Total Selection procedure (Written Test) will be conducted for 570 marks, candidates need to score minimum 228 marks to qualify. {171 marks for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs BC(M)s & BCs (OBCMs)}
TNPSC Exam pattern
The TNPSC exam for this Assistant Director of Handloom and Textiles will be made in two different papers, the pattern of this TNPSC exam is,
Paper I – Objective type for 300 marks with 3 Hours duration, the Subjects included in this paper will be,
(i) Textile Technology (code No. 235) (Degree Standard) or
(ii) (ii) Commerce (code No. 236) (Post Graduate Degree Standard)or
(iii) (iii) Economics (code No. 237) (Post Graduate Degree Standard) or
(iv) (iv) Mathematics (code No.238) (Post Graduate Degree Standard).
Paper II – This paper will be for 200 marks with 2 hours duration. The subjects will be General Studies (Degree Standard for 100 marks and general Studies (SSLC Std) for 75 marks and Mental Ability for 25 marks
Interview and Records – For 70 Marks.
