Candidates must have completed Graduation or equivalent and Type Writing Higher Grade both in English and Telugu
How will be the APPSC Junior Assistant Selection Procedure?
Selection will be made on the basis of Screening test, Main examination and Practical Test. The Commission Conducts Screening Test in Off-line mode in case applicants exceed 25,000 in number. Candidates those who qualify in the screening test will be called for Main Exam. The Main Exam will be held online through computer based test.
How will be the Pattern of APPSC Exam?
Main Exam – The exam will be conducted for 300 marks (One mark each) in two papers,
Paper I – General Studies for 150 Marks with 150 minutes Duration
Paper II – Secretarial Abilities For 150 marks with 150 minutes duration
Note: There will be penalty for wrong answers, 1/3rd of the marks will be reduced for each wrong answer
Practical Test – This test will be conducted the Proficiency in Office Automation with usage of Computers and Associated Software for 50 Marks with 30 minutes duration

General Studies (SSC Standard) – Subjects included in this exam are, (a) History, Economics, Civics and Geography (b) Physical Science (c) Natural Science (d) Current Affairs (e) Reasoning and Analytical Ability (f) Basic things about disaster management (CBSE- VIII & IX Standard) (g) Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh (h) Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection (i) Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and its Administrative, Economic, Social, Cultural, Political, and legal implications/problems
Secretarial Abilities – This papers includes subjects like (a) Mental Ability (Verbal and Nonverbal) (b) Logical Reasoning (c) Comprehension - Descriptive Passage, Logical Passage, Narrative Passage (d) Re-arrangement of sentences with a view to improving the structure of a passage (e) Numerical and Arithmetical abilities
