- Post 1 & 2: Must have passed bachelors degree from a recognised university with 60% marks and must have studied Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education with minimum 60% marks in Maths and Physics
- Post 3: Must be 12th pass with 60% marks and should possess valid commercial pilot license issued by DGCA

How will be the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Selection Procedure?
Selection for this post will be made through Shortlisting, Preliminary selection test, Final Selection and Medical Examination.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks scored in the academic qualification and only those candidates will be called for preliminary selection
Preliminary selection: This test includes Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT)
Final Selection: Those who qualify in the preliminary test will be called for this final selection which includes Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test)
Those who qualify in the final selection will have to undergo medical examination and those who apply for the post of Assistant Commandant - General Duty (Pilot) will be required to appear for CPSS at Dehradun/Mysore AFSBs
