Eligibility Conditions for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
Age Limit: As on 01-07-2018
Flying Branch – Between 20 to 24 Years (Born between 02-07-1994 and 01-07-1998)
Ground Duty (Technical 7 Non-Technical) – Between 20 to 26 Years (born Between 02-07-1992 and 01-07-1998)
Education Qualification:
Flying – Graduate in any discipline with 60% marks from a recognised University (OR) BE/B.Tech degree with 60% marks from a recognised University
Ground Duty (Aeronautical Engineer) – Degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognised University. Candidates must have scored minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Administration / Logistics – Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks and must have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with 60% marks
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Accounts – B.Com with 60% marks from a recognised University
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Education – MBA / MCA or MA / M Sc degree in English / Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Statistics / International Relations / International Studies / Defence Studies / Psychology / Computer Science / IT /Management / Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Relation with 50% marks in Post Graduation and Minimum 60% marks in Graduation
How will be the selection Procedure?
Selection For this Air Force vacancy will be made on the basis of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and SSB Interview
Candidates those who qualify in the AFCAT will be called for SSB Interviews. SSB Interview will be conducted in two different stages
a) Stage I – Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test
b) Stage II – Psychological Test, Group Tests and Interview
c) For Flying Branch – Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only
